Lillian M. (Murphy) Maynard, 84, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died at Brockton Hospital on Tuesday, February 2. She was the wife of the late Charles Maynard. Born in Cambridge, she was a resident of Stoughton for 55 years. Mrs. Maynard was a child care provider for many years as well as a foster parent for numerous children. In her free time, she enjoyed bus trips with senior citizens groups, Bingo at the Stoughton Senior Center, gardening and spending time with her family.
Mrs. Maynard is survived by her daughters, Rena Webber and her husband Craig of Plymouth and Cheryl Perry and her husband John of Stoughton. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Kevin and Michael Webber and Cara and Jack Perry, as well as her great-grandchildren, Gillian, Nicholas, Emily and Lindsay. She was the sister of Mary Murphy of Carver, Christus Murphy of VA and the late Joseph Murphy and Janet Sherrick.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Saturday, February 6 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Friday 4-7 PM. Burial will take place at Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton.
