Liborio L. Romano

Liborio L. "Leo" Romano, 90, died unexpectedly at home in Brockton on Thursday, February 14. He was the husband of the late Antonina "Lena" (Accaputo) Romano. Born and raised in the North End, he was a graduate of St. John's School. He was a resident of Brockton for 31 years. Mr. Romano was a meat cutter at Angelo DeLuca Market in the North End for many years and Canterbury Arms in Stoughton for 10 years before retiring 10 years ago. An avid Red Sox fan, he also enjoyed traveling, especially trips to Las Vegas.

Mr. Romano is survived by his children, Louis Romano of the North End, Vincenza "Vincie" Romano of CA and Paula Romano of Stoughton, as well as his grandchildren, Danielle Sinopoli, Michael Romano, Nikole Kelleher and Justin Irwin. He is also survived by 2 great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his son, Joseph Romano and his siblings, Josephine Amato, Theresa Longo, Ida Tranchina, Vita Fericanio and Mary Aluia.

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Tuesday, February 19 at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Edith Stein Church, Brockton at 9 AM. Visiting Hours Monday 4-8 PM. Burial will take place at Melrose Cemetery in Brockton.
