Lawrence N. Hixon, 24, a lifelong resident of Stoughton, died unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, October 30, 2018. Born in Stoughton, he was the beloved son of Melissa A. Hixon of Stoughton and Stacy E. Farr of Worcester. Lawrence was a graduate of Stoughton High School, Class of 2012, where he was the captain of the hockey team and received an award for most valuable player. He was also a recipient of the prestigious Golden Knight award for the Class of 2012. Lawrence attended UMass-Dartmouth. He was currently in the Pre-Nursing Program at Massasoit Community College, where he made the Dean's List. While attending college, Lawrence also was a valued employee for Roche Brothers in Easton for the past 2 years. In addition to being an avid fitness trainer, he enjoyed motorcycling.
Lawrence was the grandson of Cheryl Farr of Franklin and the late John L. and Muriel T. Hixon. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Funeral Service will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Wednesday, November 7 at 11 AM. Visiting Hours Tuesday from 4-7 PM. Interment will take place at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Donations in Lawrence's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
