Laura L. (Pozzo) Nagy

Laura L. (Pozzo) Nagy, age 93, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2024, at the Wingate at Silver Lake Skilled Nursing Facility. She was the wife to the late Albert Nagy. Born in Norwood, she was the daughter of the late William J. and Calve (Ottino) Pozzo. She was raised and educated in Canton, attending St. John’s parochial school system. She went on to attend Chandler Secretarial School in Boston and worked as a medical secretary in Boston and Norwood for almost 30 years, before moving in 1979 to Deltona, Florida where she and her husband owned and operated a power and lawn equipment business for 15 years. As a longtime resident of Deltona, before recently moving back to Massachusetts, she always read the daily newspaper, and enjoyed going to lectures she found within the articles. She was an active member at St. Clare’s Church in Deltona, participating in bible study and singing in the choir. She was an avid animal lover, taking in stray cats at any opportunity she could.

Laura is survived by her sister Nancy Connelly and her husband Donald of Middleboro, and her brother William M. Pozzo and his late wife Constance of North Easton and was preceded in death by her brother Richard Pozzo. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park Street (Rt. 27), Stoughton, on Tuesday March 26th from 10-11 AM, with a Funeral Service at 11 AM. Interment to follow at South Easton Cemetery.
