Lansing L. Smalley, 55, died May 10, 2019, at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. Born and raised in Somerset, he was a graduate of Somerset High School and later of Bristol Community College, with an Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering. A resident of Holbrook for several years, Lance was a kind and generous person, a lover of animals, a talented martial artist, and an expert on the JFK Assassination. He enjoyed spending his free time studying physics and mathematics, delving into discussions exploring the science of the universe, and enjoying Nantasket Beach with friends. Lansing was always ready with a great story to tell or magic trick to share. He was a wonderful friend to many and will be greatly missed.
Lance is survived by his close friends, Suzanne DiGiammo-Rayberg and Joel Rayberg of Braintree, and Christopher Sapelly of Allston.
Private family services were held. In lieu of flowers, donations in Lance's memory may be made to American Bulldog Rescue, 4 Terry Drive, Suite 1D, Newtown, PA 18940 (https://americanbulldogrescue.org/).
