Kevin R. Wilder, 54, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died Thursday, July 21, 2016 at the Seasons Hospice House in Milton after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the loving husband of 28 years of Cindy S. (Smith) Wilder. Born in Boston, he was raised and educated in Stoughton and was a graduate of Stoughton High School. He also attended Massasoit Community College. Mr. Wilder was a longtime employee of the Massachusetts Lottery. He was a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus in Stoughton and the Stoughton Housing Authority. He was a longtime volunteer for several charities in the Stoughton Area. In his free time, he enjoyed deep sea fishing. Above all, the most important thing in Kevin's life was spending time with his family and his friends.
In addition to his wife, Kevin is survived by his siblings; Kathleen Stubbs, Jean E. Burns and Paul J. Wilder and his wife Debra all of Stoughton, Jack M. Wilder and his wife Cheryl of Mansfield, James R. Wilder and his wife Connie of Bridgewater and Stephen D. Wilder and his wife Monette of New York. He is also survived by many beloved nieces, nephews and grand nieces and grand nephews.
A Memorial Mass will be held in the Immaculate Conception Church, 122 Canton St., (Rte 27) Stoughton on Monday, July 25 at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Sunday from 2-5 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Kevin's memory may be made to Seasons Hospice House, 597 Randolph Avenue, Milton, MA 02186.
