Kevin F. Lyons

Kevin F. Lyons, 38, died Friday, March 14, 2014 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton after being stricken ill at his home. He was the beloved son of Francis M. and Barbara J. (Butler) Lyons of West Bridgewater, formerly of Brockton. Born and raised in Brockton, he was a graduate of Brockton High School, Class of 1993. While at Brockton High, he excelled in track and field and was a member of the state championship winning team. He also attended Fitchburg State College. Mr. Lyons was a longtime resident of Brockton. He worked as a delivery driver for UPS in Brockton for over 20 years and was a member of the Teamsters Local 653. An avid sports fan, in his free time, he enjoyed traveling and spending summers in Dennisport.
In addition to his parents, he is survived and missed by his brother Mark R. Lyons and his wife Erin of Brockton. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Thursday, March 20 at 7:45 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Ann's Church, West Bridgewater at 9 AM. Visiting Hours Wednesday from 5-8 PM. Interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery, Brockton. Donations in Kevin's memory may be made to the Jimmy Fund, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168.
