Kevin F. LaCivita, 62, died Wednesday, December 26, at the South Shore Hospital in Weymouth after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the beloved and devoted husband of 41 years of Donna M. (Biggs) LaCivita. Born in Brockton, he was raised and educated in Stoughton and was a graduate of Stoughton Schools. Mr. LaCivita was a proud Veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He was a decorated war veteran, having served his country gallantly in Vietnam from 1968-1970. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion in Stoughton. He worked as the Transportation Manager for R & L Carriers in Canton for over 11 years. In his free time, Kevin enjoyed spending time with his wife and family. Kevin was an integral part of his family and extended family and was a constant presence in their lives and the lives of others. He will be missed by all.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his brother Patrick A. LaCivita of Quincy. He was predeceased by his parents, Margaret (Hickey) LaCivita and Michael J. LaCivita, who died November 28; and his siblings, Michael P. LaCivita, Francis J. LaCivita and Lynnette K. Labriola. He is also survived by 9 nieces and nephews. He played a significant part in the lives of his nieces and nephews, all of whom he loved dearly.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Monday, December 31 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Sunday from 2-5 PM. Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton. Donations in Kevin's memory may be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O.
