Kenneth W. Kelley, 88, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died peacefully, surrounded by his family on Friday May 31, 2013 at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton after a brief illness. Mr. Kelley was the loving husband of 61 years to Geraldine (Connors) Kelley.
Born in Newton on October 17, 1924, Mr. Kelley was the son of the late William and Cecelia (Enslow) Kelley. He was raised and educated in Stoughton. Mr. Kelley proudly served in the US ARMY during World War II. He was the co-owner of Kelley Bros. Construction Company in Stoughton, retiring in 2004 after 50 years of dedicated work. Mr. Kelley enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family. He also enjoyed spending time on Cape Cod.
Mr. Kelley was the loving father of Michael J. Kelley of Vero Beach, FL, Kathy Kelley of Port Orange, FL, Patty Forrester and her husband Kevin of Brockton, Donna Kelley of Stoughton and the late William J. "Bobo" Kelley. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Mr. Kelley was the brother of the late James F. Kelley.
His funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rte. 27) Stoughton on Wednesday, June 5 at 9:30 AM followed by a funeral Mass in the Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours are Tuesday 5-8pm. Interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton. In lieu of flowers, donations in Kenneth's memory may be made to Hope Health Hospice, 765 Attucks Lane, Hyannis, MA 02601.
