Kathleen E. "Kay" Moylan

Kathleen E. “Kay” Moylan, age 83, passed away on October 10, 2023, at her residence in Brockton. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Nora (Sullivan) and John Moylan. She was raised in South Boston and was a graduate of South Boston High School. She was an Executive Secretary at the MBTA Commuter Rail for 24 years and previously worked at Gillette for 10 years. She was active at Immaculate Conception Church in Stoughton and attended the Chapel at Good Samaritan Hospital where she had many close friends. She was a proud to be from Southie and enjoyed listening to Irish music. She was into make-up, fashion, shopping, dancing, singing, and knitting. She had a vibrant personality, always being the ‘life of the party’. She was a charismatic woman with a beautiful smile who will be greatly missed by those who knew her.

Kay was preceded in death by her siblings, Joseph Moylan, John “Jack” Moylan, Thomas Moylan, Mary Murphy, Patricia Galvin, and Ann “Joan” Doherty. She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Maryanne Burakoff, Nora Galvin, Kathleen Lennon, James Galvin, Daniel Galvin, Liam Galvin, Maura Hershman, William Doherty, Michael Doherty, John Moylan, Thomas Moylan, Marie Sullivan, as well as many great-nieces and nephews.


A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 13th at the Immaculate Conception Church in Stoughton at 12:00 PM. Interment will be held at New Calvary Cemetery in Boston.
