Kathleen M. Meier

Kathleen M. (Large) Meier, 61, a longtime resident of Easton, died at home on Wednesday, May 18. She was the wife of James C. Fraser. Daughter of Charles F. Large of Stoughton and the late Evelyn (Metzger) Large, she was born in Boston. She was a lifelong resident of Stoughton and graduated from Stoughton High School, Class of 1967 before moving to Easton in 1985. Kathleen earned a degree in substance abuse counseling from Massasoit and also graduated from the certificate program in substance abuse counseling from Stonehill College. She was a substance abuse counselor at the North Cottage Program in Norton for the past 11 years. Kathleen was also a hair stylist, most recently working for many years at the Clip Joint in Easton. She enjoyed summer vacations at Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire.
In addition to her husband and her father, Kathleen is survived by her sons, Jeffrey E. Meier and his partner Eric Eddy of Brooklyn, NY and Jamie D. Meier and his wife Ami of Norton. She was the grandmother of Laila and Jalen Meier. She was the sister of Kenneth Large of CT and Ronald Large of Easton. She is also survived by her stepsons, Corey A. Fraser of Brockton and Scott C. Fraser of Taunton and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting Hours will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Saturday, May 28 from 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Kathleen's memory may be made to the Kathleen M. Meier Scholarship Fund, c/o 28 Keith Dr., Norton, MA 02766.
