Kathleen A. (McAteer) McDonald

Kathleen A. (McAteer) McDonald, 72, died Monday, July 29, 2013 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton after a brief period of declining health. Born in Boston, she was raised and educated in Canton. Mrs. McDonald was a resident of Brockton for over 25 years, previously living in Sharon for many years. She worked at Shaw's in Sharon for over 15 years, many of those as a cake decorator. She retired over 15 years ago. An animal lover, in her free time, she enjoyed gardening, traveling and spending time with her family and friends.

Mrs. McDonald was the mother of William B. McDonald Jr. and his wife Elizabeth of Norton, Kenneth B. McDonald and his wife Suzanne of Whitman and the late Lisa Mitcheroney, Michael Mitcheroney and Gregory Waas. She was the sister of Patricia Valentino of Milton. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Matthew Mitcheroney, Julie Clark, Cassidy McDonald, Samantha McDonald, Kenneth B. McDonald, Jr., Erin West, Claire McDonald and Lindsey Cosgrove.

Funeral Prayers will be offered in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Saturday, August 3 at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Friday from 5-8 PM. Donations in Kathy's memory may be made to MSPCA/Angell Memorial Hospital, 350 S Huntington Ave, Boston, MA 02130.
