Kathleen A. Jefferson

Kathleen A. (Hayward) Jefferson, 64, died Saturday, April 6, 2013, at the Southwood at Norwell Nursing Home after a period of failing health. Born in Cambridge, she was raised in Hyde Park and was a graduate of Hyde Park High School. She also was a graduate of Nursing School. She worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for the Elizabeth Seton Residence in Wellesley for over 15 years, retiring in 2005. Several years ago, she was a Girl Scout Leader and a ceramics instructor. In her free time, she enjoyed painting.

She is survived by her children, Wendy Jefferson of Plymouth, Donald "Pooch" Jefferson of Stoughton, Samantha Jefferson of Springfield and Selena Jefferson of Quincy. She was the sister of Susan Morrow of FL, Thomas Hayward of Brockton and Priscilla Powers of NH. She was the former wife of Donald E. Jefferson of Hyde Park. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Prayers will be offered in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Thursday evening, April 11 at 8PM. Visiting Hours prior to prayers from 5-8 PM. Burial will be at a later date at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, S. Portland, ME. Donations in Kathy's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation, 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, 02472.
