Katherine M. Hathaway

Katherine M. (Dolan) Hathaway, 82, died Saturday, March 14, 2009 at her home after a long period of failing health. She was the wife of the late George F. Hathaway. Born in Boston, she attended Boston Schools and was a graduate of Jamaica Plain High School. She was a resident of Stoughton for over 30 years, previously living in West Roxbury for over 20 years. Mrs. Hathaway worked as a cashier for Shaw's Supermarkets in both the Canton and Stoughton Stores for over 25 years. She retired in 2003. In her free time, she enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her four children, Eleanor M. Lee of Stoughton, George E. Hathaway of PA, Carol A. Houston of Plymouth and Sgt. Michael T. Hathaway, Boston PD of Stoughton. She was the sister of John Dolan of Norwood and the late Francis Dolan, Frederick Dolan, Thomas Dolan, Joseph Dolan and Edward Dolan. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her grandson Michael F. Lee. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Wednesday at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Tuesday 4-8 PM. Burial will take place at St. Joseph's Cemetery, West Roxbury. Donations in her memory may be made to Old Colony Hospice, 1 Credit Union Way, Randolph, 02368.
