Karlton A. Kavka, 78, a lifelong resident of Easton, died July 10, 2020, at his home, after a period of declining health. He was the husband of 19 years of Ludovina "Ludie" (Oliveira) Kavka. Raised and educated in Easton, he was a graduate of Oliver Ames High School. Mr. Kavka was a Veteran of the US Army from 1962-1965. After his honorable discharge, he returned home to Easton. He was a longtime employee for the Acushnet Company and Foot Joy shoes, retiring at age 62. He was a member of the American Legion in Easton. Karl was known for his affable and outgoing personality, with a gift of making everyone feel like a friend. He enjoyed reading, golfing, attending car shows, and especially enjoyed spending time in Las Vegas. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, both old and new.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two sons; Joseph Kavka and his wife Karen of N. Andover and Karl P. Kavka of Bridgewater. He was the brother of Stanley Kavka and his wife Wanda of Easton, and was the grandfather of Katelyn Kavka and Patrick Kavka.
Funeral Prayers will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rte. 27) Stoughton on Wednesday at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Tuesday from 4-7 PM. Due to Covid19 regulations, Masks and social distancing required at funeral home. Donations in Karl's memory may be made to the American Heart Association.
