Karen C. (DeAngelis) Flynn, 64, died Saturday, July 27, 2013 at the Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital in Brockton after a period of failing health. She was the wife of 27 years of John E. Flynn, Jr. Born in Boston, she was raised in the West End and was a graduate of Hyde Park High School. She was a resident of Brockton for the past 19 years, previously living in Stoughton. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Flynn was a member of the American Legion and Sons of Italy both in Stoughton and the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (MSPCA). An animal lover, in her free time, she enjoyed gardening and cooking.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son Brian M. Wilkinson and his wife Katie of Brockton and her grandson, Brian M. Wilkinson, Jr. She is also survived by her step children Jeffrey and David Flynn both of Norwood. She was predeceased by her brother Rocky DeAngelis.
Funeral Prayers will be held offered in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Thursday Evening at 7 PM. Visiting Hours prior to the prayers from 4-7 PM. Donations in her memory may be made to the Beth Israel Deaconess Cancer Center, 330 Brookline Ave., Boston, 02215.
