Julia (DeMendonca) DeMendonca, 91, died February 1, 2014 at her home after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Joao H. DeMendonca. Born in Flores, Portugal, she was raised and educated in Flores. She came to the United States in 1966 and settled in Stoughton. She worked at Stoughton Elastic Web as a Weaver for many years, retiring over 30 years ago. Mrs. DeMendonca enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, camping and traveling.

She is survived by her children, Fatima Correia of Portugal, Filomena Anderson and Robert M. Mendonca both of Stoughton. She was predeceased by several brothers and sisters. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Thursday, February 6, at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 9 AM. Visiting Hours Wednesday from 5-8 PM. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton.
