Judith A. (Freitas) Ventresca, 68, died Sunday, October 7, 2012 at the Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston after a period of failing health. She was the wife of 49 years of Philip F. Ventresca. Born in Boston, she was raised and educated in Jamaica Plain. She was a resident of Stoughton for over 42 years. Mrs. Ventresca worked as a bookkeeper for her family business, ESI Qual in Stoughton for many years. Mrs. Ventresca also worked as the Secretary and Caretaker of Dry Pond Cemetery in Stoughton for many years. In her free time, she enjoyed cooking, spending time with her family and grandchildren and caring for her dogs, Princess and Hailey.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her two sons, Philip F. Ventresca, Jr. and his wife Toni of Stoughton and Vincent J. Ventresca and his wife Debbie of Plymouth. She was the grandmother of Michelle N. Ventresca, Vincent J. Ventresca, Jr. and Dante A. Ventresca.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Thursday, October 11 at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. James Church, Stoughton at 9 AM. Visiting Hours Wednesday from 5-8 PM. Interment will take place at Dry Pond Cemetery. Donations in Judy's memory may be made to the New England Baptist Hospital, 125 Parker Hill Ave, Boston, MA 02120.
