Judith A. (Forrester) Palermo, 69, died Tuesday, October 11, 2011, at her home under the care of Vista Hospice after a long illness. She was the wife of the late John S. Palermo. Born in Boston, she was raised in Dorchester and was a graduate of Boston Schools. Mrs. Palermo was a resident of Stoughton for over 20 years. She worked in the Maintenance Department at the Boston Globe for many years, retiring in 2003. In her free time, she enjoyed cooking, shopping and traveling.
She is survived by her 7 children; Roy S. McDermott and his wife Betty, Thomas M. Palermo and his wife AnnMarie and Richard A. Palermo all of Weymouth, John W. Palermo of Quincy, Francis Tracy of FL, Lisa Tracy and Joseph P. Palermo both of Stoughton. She was the sister of Jane Cotton, Roger Hardy and Susan Hardy all of Stoughton, Andy Hardy of Holbrook, Janet Trainor of Middleboro, Jennifer Hardy of Quincy, Jean Hathaway of TX, Francis Hardy of Quincy, Debra Hardy of Middleboro, Cynthia Hardy of Dorchester and the late Regina Davenport, Robert Hardy, John Hardy and David Hardy. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Monday, October 17, 2011, at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM.
