Judith L. (Anshewitz) Mythen, 77, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died peacefully at Brockton Hospital on Monday, May 8, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Edward W. Mythen. Daughter of the late Theodore and Helen (Farmen) Anshewitz. She was born in Dedham and raised on Cape Cod. She attended Barnstable High School. Judy was a resident of Stoughton since 1962. She was a homemaker and cared for all of her grandchildren over the years. She was a proud military wife, parent and grandparent. She enjoyed spending time with her family and supporting her grandchildren in all their activities, traveling near and far for sports and recitals.
Judy is survived by her children, Maryellen Gabrielle and her husband Peter of Bellingham, Deborah J. Nery and her husband Ronald of Assonet and Thomas E. Mythen of Stoughton. She was the grandmother of Suzanne Morse, Raymond, Andrew and Matthew Gabrielle and Alexander and Nicole Nery and the great-grandmother of William Gabrielle. She was the sister-in-law of Marilyn Mythen and beloved friend of Barbara Borges. She was the sister of Dorothy Winn of Virginia, Janet Buchanan of Idaho, Helen Rigsby of New Hampshire, Larry Anshewitz of Alabama, Susan Cabral of Massachusetts and the late Claire Guyette and Theodore, Paul and Peter Anshewitz.
A Graveside Service will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, 1100 Washington St., Stoughton on Monday, May 15 at 11:30 AM. Visiting Hours will be held at the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Sunday, May 14 from 4-7 PM.
