Judith M. (Puljanowski) Crean, 95, died peacefully on July 17, at the home of her daughter and son in law in Cape Elizabeth, ME. She was the wife of the late Albert E. Crean. Born in Homer City, PA, she was raised in Cambridge and was a graduate of Cambridge Catholic Schools. She was also a graduate of Brockton Cosmetology School. She was a longtime resident of Stoughton. Mrs. Crean worked as a hairdresser and was the owner of Judith's Hair Salon on Park Street in Stoughton. She also worked at Plymouth Rubber Company in Canton. She was a member of the Stoughton Women's Club and a former Boy Scouts of America Den Mother. Mrs. Crean was known to never miss a party or family celebration. Mr. and Mrs. Crean hosted many New Year's Day Parties and Fourth of July celebrations. She was a patient and understanding daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed taking her children and grandchildren to Boston to see the sights and to show them where she grew up. She also enjoyed shopping with her family. In her free time, she enjoyed sketching, painting, ceramics, baking, woodwork and furniture refinishing and gardening.
She is survived by her children, Judith Ann Patrick of Brockton, Abigail Lewis of Cape Elizabeth, ME, Robert A. Crean of Easton and David M. Crean of Stoughton. She is also survived by her grandsons Albert Crean, Mark Crean and Stephen Crean all of Stoughton. She is survived by an additional 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by her son Edwin Albert Crean, her sister Genevieve Crean, her brother Henry Puljanowski and her grandchildren Roland Patrick, Elizabeth Berman, Kathleen MacFaun and Michael Crean.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Friday, July 23 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Thursday 4-8 PM. Children wishing to pay their respects are invited to a private viewing at 1PM. Burial will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
