Judith A. (Connolly) Costa, 69, died Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at her home after a short illness. She was the wife of the late John "Jack" Costa. Born and raised in Brockton, she was a graduate of Brockton Schools and also attended business school. She was a resident of Stoughton for the past 2 years after living with her son in Ohio for several years. Mrs. Costa worked in the office for several area companies, including Siemans, Hit or Miss and Westgate Lanes. In her free time, she enjoyed bowling, gardening, reading and traveling to Twin River, Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Kevin J. Murphy, USMC and his wife Jane of CA, Michael F. Murphy of Brockton and Susan P. Swartz and her husband Martin of Stoughton. She was the grandmother of Elizabeth and Brianna Murphy and Daniel and Zachary Swartz. Mrs. Costa was the sister of Katherine D. Jasmin of Bridgewater. She is also survived by her sister in law Elizabeth Murphy of Brockton, her stepchildren John and Chrissy Costa and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Prayers will be offered in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Friday, March 29 at 11 AM. Visiting Hours Thursday from 5-8 PM. Interment will take place at a later date at Sunny Plain Cemetery in Bradford, NH.
