Judith I. (Buck) Connors, 80, passed away peacefully at Haven Hospice in Gainesville, FL on October 17, 2016. She was the wife of the late John B. "Jack" Connors. Daughter of the late Donald F. and Dora P. Buck, she was born in Foxboro and educated in Brockton schools. She was a resident of Florida for over 30 years. Judy was a homemaker and owner of Greyhound dogs. She was a member of the Greyhound Racing Association. Judy was an avid outdoorswoman. She was a Careware volunteer in Florida for children and babies and loved helping others, donating to various charities throughout her community. She was also active in her church. She will be greatly missed.
Judy is survived by her children: Marjorie Wilkinson of High Springs, FL; Susanne Picanzo of Bangor, ME; Kathryn DeZaiffe and her husband Jerry of High Springs, FL; Ronald Gilbert and his wife Mary of Erwin, TN; Judith Swidan and her husband Akrum of Michigan, Christine McQuinn of Chiefland, Florida and Steven Gilbert of Massachusetts. She is also survived by her step-children, Mary Montminy, Jack Connors and Patty Connors, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by 2 sons, Alan Gilbert and Robert Gilbert and 3 siblings, Barbara Taylor, Ernest Buck and Donald Buck.
A Graveside Service will be held at Melrose Cemetery, 88 North Pearl St., Brockton on Monday, November 7 at 1 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Judy's memory may be made to Haven Hospice, 4200 NW 90th Blvd., Gainesville, FL 32606.
