Judith E. (Beane) Brown, 66, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died at the New England Sinai Hospital in Stoughton on Thursday, January 23 after a courageous battle with bone cancer. She was the wife of Kenneth W. Brown for 41 years. Born in Portland, ME, she was raised in Jamaica Plain and graduated from Jamaica Plain High School and Boston Business School. She was a resident of Stoughton since 1975. Mrs. Brown was a teacher's aide in the Special Education Department at Stoughton High School for 28 years before retiring in 2011. She was a Deaconess at Faith Baptist Church in Stoughton for several years and was known for her strength and strong faith. In her free time, she enjoyed sewing, quilting and was an accomplished shopper.

In addition to her husband, Judith is survived by her children, Jennifer L. McGloin and her husband Brian of Stoughton, Scott E. Brown and his partner Shawn Hamilton of Attleboro and the late Wendy E. Brown. She was the grandmother of Anthony and Dominic McGloin. She was the sister of Betty Brown of Maine, Richard Patten of Florida, Gary Patten of Norton, Lorraine Crosby of Wilmington and Angel Skelton of Billerica and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held in the Faith Baptist Church, 18 Stoughton St., Stoughton on Tuesday, January 28 at 11 AM. Visiting Hours will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Monday from 5-8 PM. Interment will take place at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Donations in Judith's memory may be sent to American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
