Josephine R. Tanzi

Josephine R. (Giovanni), Tanzi, 93, a resident of Stoughton, died at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton on Sunday, March 13. She was the wife of 70 years of Anthony Tanzi. Born and educated in Boston, she was a resident of Hyde Park for many years before moving to Stoughton 17 years ago. Mrs. Tanzi was a homemaker. She was a member of the Hyde Park High Flyers and enjoyed crocheting.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Tanzi is survived by her children, James A. Tanzi and his wife Rosemary of Stoughton and Lorraine R. Goldstein and her husband Kenneth of Easton. She was the grandmother of Michele Blackwill, Jennifer and Leslie Tanzi. She was the great-grandmother of Zachery Nicholls and Alan Blackwill Jr. She was the sister of Eleanor Terlino of Saugus, Elsie Milano of FL, Danny Giovanni of Hyde Park and the late Antoinette Paventi, Freddie Giovanni, Henry Giovanni and John Giovanni and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Friday, March 18 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM.
