Josephine V. (Notrem) Schwarz, 86, died at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton on Sunday, October 15. She was the wife of the late Paul F.W. Schwarz, Jr. Born and educated in South Boston, she was a resident of Stoughton for 48 years. She previously lived in Dorchester. Mrs. Schwarz worked as an Electronics Technician at Raytheon, Automatic Radio, Metz Engineering and Computer Identics before retiring in the late 1980's. She enjoyed crocheting afgans and baby blankets for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. In her free time, she also enjoyed sightseeing and camping throughout the United States by tent and camper.
She is survived by her two sons: Paul F.W. Schwarz, III and Donald M.E. Schwarz of Stoughton. She was predeceased by her husband Paul and her daughter Joann P. Duhn. She was the sister of the late Anna Shyp, Mary Huxley, Francis Notrem, Peter Notrem, John Notrem and Nellie Chesna. She is also survived by her grandchildren Kristi Sieble, Eric Schwarz, Daniel Duhn, Brian Duhn, Derrick Duhn and Brett Duhn; and her great grandchildren Anne Sieble and Peter Sieble.
Funeral Prayers will be offered from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Friday, October 20 at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Thursday 4-7 PM. Donations in Josephine's name may be made to Brockton VNA, 500 Belmont St., Brockton, MA 02301. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton.
