Josephine A. (Nicholson) MacDonald

Josephine A. (Nicholson) MacDonald, 94, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died peacefully at home on Saturday, June 24, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She was the loving wife of the late Paul J. MacDonald. Josephine was born and educated in Nova Scotia, Canada. She was a former dietary department worker for the Goddard Hospital who loved spending time with her family.

Josephine was the beloved mother of Paul MacDonald and his wife Christine of TX, Donald J. MacDonald and his wife Eileen of West Bridgewater, John MacDonald of Easton and Margaret E. Longwe of Stoughton. She was the cherished grandmother of Reynaldo, Nathan, Timothy, Paul, Jr., Kimberly, Christine, William and Daniel and the great grandmother of Gary, Aubrey and MacKenzie. She was the daughter of the late Daniel and Margaret Nicholson and the sister of the late Jessie MacDonald, Florence Nicholson and John Nicholson.

Funeral Mass will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Wednesday, June 28 at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. James Church, Stoughton at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Tuesday 5-8 PM. Interment will take place at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. In lieu of flowers, donations in Josephine's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.
