Josephine B. (Merlini) Colli, 94, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died Monday, February 14 at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. She was the wife of the late Gasper Colli. Born and raised in Hyde Park, she was a graduate of Boston Trade School. Mrs. Colli was a resident of Stoughton for 49 years after living in West Roxbury for 22 years. She worked for Scholastic Jewelers in West Roxbury for 38 years before retiring many years ago. Mrs. Colli was a Past President of Provincia Dienna in East Boston and a member of the Foresters of America. In her free time she enjoyed bowling and crafts.
Mrs. Colli is survived by her children, Phillip P. Colli and Rose M. Pulsinelli both of Stoughton. She was grandmother of Cheryl A. Treleavan and her husband James, Sharon M. Gottwald and her husband Edward, Justine B. Gay and her husband Robert, Victoria J. Johnson and her husband Charles and Janis M. Johns and her husband Michael. She was the sister of Guido Merlini of Hyde Park and the late Peter Merlini and Lena Roy. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Friday, February 18 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Thursday from 4-8 PM. Burial will take place at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Donations in Josephine's name may be made to the Alzheimer's Assn., 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472.
