Josephine "Betty" (Boucher) Hudson

Josephine E. "Betty" (Boucher) Hudson, 75, died Sunday, April 24 at the Brockton Hospital. Born in Boston, she was raised in Jamaica Plain and was a graduate of Boston Schools. She was a resident of Brockton since 1979. Mrs. Hudson was a dedicated homemaker and mother to her four sons. After raising her family, she worked for Hub Mail in Boston and Harte Hanks in Brockton. She retired several years ago. In her free time, she enjoyed reading and tending to her cats.

She was the devoted mother of Joseph R. Phillips of Pawtucket, RI, Stephan A. Phillips of ID, Mark Wayne Phillips of NM and Scott Hudson of ME. She was the sister of Carol Barlow of WA, Arthur W. Boucher of Canton, Robert L. Boucher of Stoughton and the late Barbara Loving, George W. Boucher, Jr., Alice E. Boucher, Evelyn Rusk and Joseph Boucher. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Prayers will be offered in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Tuesday, May 3 at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Monday, May 2 from 5-8 PM. Interment will take place at Fairview Cemetery, Hyde Park. Donations in Betty's memory may be made to the American Heart Association, 1324 Belmont St., Suite 204-101, Brockton, MA 02301.
