Joseph A. Spritzer, 86, died at home on Tuesday, November 6, 2007, after a long period of failing health. He was the devoted husband of the late Lois (Buckle) Spritzer. Born in Bellefonte, PA, he was raised and educated there. He was a Veteran of the United States Coast Guard, serving for over 22 years. After his retirement from the Coast Guard in 1964, he worked as an electrician for Atlantic Electric and the Brigham and Women's Hospital, both in Boston. He retired from the Brigham and Women's Hospital in 1986. A skilled carpenter and handyman, he was a member of the American Legion in Stoughton.
He is survived by his children, Annabel Toomey of Bridgewater, Kenneth Spritzer of Stoughton and Karen L. Spritzer of CA. He was the brother of Dorothy Kremer of PA. Mr. Spritzer was predeceased by his son Karl J. Spritzer and 7 brothers and sisters. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Funeral Prayers will be offered in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Friday, November 9 at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Thursday 5-8 PM. Burial will be private. Donations in Joseph's name may be made to American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, 01701.
