Joseph C. Savino, 77, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died peacefully at home on Friday, October 7, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Ann M. (Fitzpatrick) Savino for 57 years. Born in Brockton, he was raised in Stoughton and graduated from Stoughton High School, Class of 1957 and the Peabody School in Norwood. Joe resided in Westwood for 13 years before returning to Stoughton 20 years ago. He was the owner and President of ACME Northeast in Wilmington for many years before retiring several years ago. He enjoyed traveling, especially to Aruba and trips to the casino. An avid Boston sports fan, he also enjoyed spending time in New Hampshire but his greatest joy was spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife, Joe is survived by his children, Marybeth Biggins and her husband Steven of Brockton, Kim Savino of Braintree, Patti Grenon and her husband Ernie of Meredith, NH and Mark Savino and his wife Kathleen of Marion. He was the brother of Carol Savino of Bridgewater, Michael Savino of Florida, Lorraine Dalton of Rockland and Roni Eldayha of Bridgewater. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Prayers will be offered from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Tuesday at 8 PM. Visiting Hours prior from 4-8 PM. Interment will be private.
