Joseph B. McDonald III, 50, died February 28, at the South Shore Hosptial in Weymouth. He was the husband of Danise (Woolf) Woolf-McDonald. Born in Boston, he was raised and educated in Stoughton and a graduate of Stoughton High School, Class of 1980. While at Stoughton High, he was a member of the Track and Cross Country teams. He was a Veteran of the US Army. Mr. McDonald was a resident of Weymouth for many years. He worked as an Industrial Painter and Sandblaster for Baystate Corrosion for over 20 years. In his free time, he enjoyed drawing, watching Nascar, sports and collecting sports memorabilia. A dedicated uncle, he also enjoyed spending time with his nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his mother, Dorothy H. "Dolly" (Tagliaferro) McDonald, and his siblings, Cheryl McDonald and Michael McDonald both of Stoughton and Dorothy Vieira and her husband Mark of Maine. He was predeceased by his father Joseph B. McDonald, Jr. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Memorial Services will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Friday at 1PM. Visiting Hours prior to the services from 11 AM until 1 PM. Donations in Joe's name may be made to the McDonald Family, c/o Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., Stoughton, MA 02072.
