Joseph S. DiCastro, 88, died unexpectedly on Sunday, June 25, at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. He was the husband of the late Frances (Dennis) DiCastro. Born in Brockton, he was a graduate of Stoughton Schools. Mr. DiCastro worked as a letter carrier and then Postmaster of the Sharon Post Office for 33 years, retiring in 1970. He also owned Willow Brook Farm Store and Willow Nurseries in Stoughton. He also owned a farm and enjoyed farming. In his free time, he enjoyed bowling with his friends in Sharon and growing flowers.

He was the father of James A. DiCastro and his wife Michelle and the late Joseph DiCastro and Rita DiCastro. He was the brother of Eleanor Louko and Gloria Goodman both of Stoughton and the late Anthony DiCastro. Mr. DiCastro was the father in law of Julie DiCastro-Nascenzi of Stoughton. He also leaves his grandchildren Joseph A., James D., Jamianne R. and Delana A. DiCastro. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Thursday, June 29 at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 9 AM. Visiting Hours Wednesday 5-8 PM. Donations in Joe's name may be made to the Boston Higashi School, 800 N. Main St., Randolph, 02386. Burial will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
