Joseph Russell Clabough, 71, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died Thursday, May 13, 2010, at the Brockton Hospital in Brockton after a period of failing health. He was the husband of 52 years of Sheila A. (Slack) Clabough. Born in Knoxville, TN, he was raised and educated in Knoxville and Oak Ridge, TN. He attended Boston State College. Mr. Clabough was a Veteran of the US Navy and a resident of Stoughton for over 17 years. He worked as an Appliance Repairman for many years for AAA Appliance and Joe's Appliance Repair. Prior to that, he worked as a meat cutter for Gertman's in Boston. In his free time, he enjoyed playing bingo. Above all, he enjoyed entertaining, singing and especially singing Karaoke at several area locations.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children Eileen T. Boutin of PA, Joseph R. Clabough Jr. of FL, Sheila A. LaFrance and Michael Clabough both of Stoughton. He was the brother of Mark Clabough and Candace Bartoff of NC. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren.
Funeral Prayers will be offered in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Monday, May 17 at 12 PM Noon. Visiting Hours Sunday 3-6 PM.
