Joseph E. Brady, Jr., 71, a lifelong resident of Stoughton, died on Friday, December 11, 2015 from injuries suffered when he was struck by a car. He was the husband of Linda (Montgomery) Brady. Born in Brockton, he was a graduate of Stoughton High School, Class of 1962. Joe was the owner of House of Wheels in Brockton for 30 years before retiring last year. In addition, he sold Christmas trees in Stoughton for over 40 years. Mr. Brady was a proud member of the New England Antique Racers Hall of Fame and was a championship winning car owner for over 5 decades. In Modified Racing circles he was long known for doing a lot with a little and fielding cars for some of the best Modified drivers in the business.
In addition to his wife, Joe is survived by his children, Brian E. Brady and his wife Laura of Stoughton and Anne M. Morrissette and her husband Michael of Uxbridge, as well as his step-children, Dawn Gupta and her husband Krishan of Berkley and Christine Buechler and her husband Larry of Indiana. He is also survived by his sister, Linda J. Beals of W. Wareham, 15 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
