Jorge M. Garcia, 43, a lifelong resident of Stoughton, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton after suffering from a bad heart. He was the beloved son of Fatima M. (Salvador) Garcia and Lino S. Garcia of Stoughton. Born and raised in Stoughton, he was a graduate of Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical High School in Easton. He also attended the New England School of Art in Boston. Mr. Garcia worked as a cook at the 99 Restaurant in Canton for several years. He also worked as a freelance photographer and videographer and was a freelance artist. He was a gifted artist and photographer who loved comic books, media, movies and technology. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with his friends and family.
In addition to his parents, Jorge is survived by his sister, Jennifer G. Yanikoski of Braintree and his niece and godchild, Victoria Yanikoski.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Monday, September 26 at 10:45 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church at 12:00 Noon. Visiting Hours Sunday from 2-5 PM. Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton.
