Jonathan A. Silva, 17, died unexpectedly at home in Stoughton on Sunday, January 21. He was the son of Theresa A. (Svizzero) Silva of Bridgewater and Arthur F. Silva of Stoughton. Born in Stoughton, he was a lifelong resident of Bridgewater before moving to Stoughton 2 years ago. Jonathan attended Arch-Bishop Williams High School in Braintree for 3 years before transferring to Stoughton High School, where he was currently a Senior. He worked part-time at A&T Taxi in Stoughton for the past several months. He was looking forward to attending college and pursuing a degree in Graphic Architecture. He loved basketball, soccer and hip-hop music.
In addition to his parents, Jonathan is survived by his sister, Ashley A. Silva of Bridgewater and his grandparents, Lena (Solimini) Svizzero of Bridgewater, Dominic Svizzero of Hanson and Arthur and Mary (Feenan) Silva of Stoughton. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins and his pets, Moxie and Starr.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Friday, January 26 at 9:15 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:15 AM. Visiting Hours Thursday 4-8 PM. Burial will take place at Central Cemetery in East Bridgewater.
