John H. Whyte, 50, a lifelong resident of Stoughton, died at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton on Monday, March 19, 2018 after a period of failing health. Son of Nancy M. (Merola) Whyte of Stoughton and the late Henry T. Whyte, he was born in Brockton. John was a graduate of Stoughton High School, Class of 1985 and attended Bridgewater State College. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Canton for 15 years. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing.
In addition to his mother, John is survived by his son, Jonathan Kelly Whyte of Stoughton. He was the brother of Joseph E. Whyte of Berkley, Patricia A. Marini of Stoughton and the late Diane M. Whyte and is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Prayers will be offered from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Friday, March 23 at 7 PM. Visiting Hours prior from 5-7 PM.
