John Smith

John Smith, Jr., died Saturday, March 24, 2018, at the Blue Hills Alzheimer's Care Center in Stoughton. He was the husband of the late Barbara A. (Walling) Smith. Born in Dorchester, he was raised and educated in Dorchester and Lewiston, ME. Mr. Smith was a Veteran of the US Air Force. He was a resident of Stoughton for over 30 years and previously lived in Easton. He was the longtime owner of the Stoughton Social Club in Stoughton. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with friends and family.

Mr. Smith is survived by his son Jack Smith of Stoughton and was previously deceased by his son Stephen R. Smith and his daughter Deborah A. Smith. He was the grandfather of Christopher, Bryanna, Jillianne and Alexander Smith and is survived by his brother Leon

Visiting Hours will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Thursday, March 29, 2018, from 9-11AM followed by a Funeral Blessing at 11AM. Burial will take place at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 12:45 PM. Donations in his memory may be made to the Beacon Hospice, 182 North Main St., Fall River, MA 02720.
