John J. "Jack" Skelly

John J. "Jack" Skelly, 69, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died peacefully at home on Saturday, February 11, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Mary Lou (Grenier) Skelly for 45 years. Son of the late Edmund B. and Mary (Close) Skelly, he was born in Boston and raised in Hyde Park. Jack was a graduate of Catholic Memorial High School, Class of 1965 and Stonehill College. He resided in Stoughton since 1986. Jack was a traffic coordinator at Teradyne in Boston for 20 years before retiring 15 years ago.

In addition to his wife, Jack is survived by his children, James J. Skelly of Groton, Amy M. Skelly and her companion Nicholas DiPace of Stoughton, Jaclyn M. St. Gelais and her husband Brett of Bridgewater and Michael J. Skelly and his fiancé Alexandra Lucas of Holbrook, as well as his grandchildren, Julia, Celia, Luke, Matthew, Morgan, Madelyn and Jonathan. He was the brother of Kathryn Tice of Kittery, ME, Edmund Skelly of Wilbraham, Mary Collins of Norwood and Richard Skelly of Mansfield. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Friday, February 17 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. James Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Thursday from 4-7 PM. Interment will take place at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jack's memory may be made to Compassionate Care Hospice, 800 West Cummings Park, Suite 3100, Woburn, MA 01801.
