John T. Silva

John T. Silva, 66, died unexpectedly on Sunday, June 11 at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center. He was the husband of Barbara A. (Farrell) Silva. Born and educated in Wareham, he was a resident of Canton since 1969. Mr. Silva was the owner of All Town Taxi in Canton and Stoughton with his wife Barbara for 21 years before retiring last year. He was an avid sports fan in his free time.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Silva is survived by his mother, Julia (Silva) Silva of Stoughton and his step-children, Joan Ferzoco of Stoughton and John Leahy of Bradford. He was the grandfather of Amanda, Adam and John J. Leahy and Jennifer, Edward, James, Angela and Gina Ferzoco. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, John M. Silva.

Funeral Prayers will be offered from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Friday, June 16 at 10 AM. Visiting Hours prior from 9-10 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations in John's name may be made to the American Kidney Fund, 6110 Executive Blvd., Rockville, MD 20852. Interment will be private.
