John J. Scibeck

John J. "Johnny" Scibeck, 67, died unexpectedly in Costa Rica on January 1, 2010. Son of the late Joseph S. and Dorothea (Armstrong) Scibeck, he was born in Boston. He was raised in Weymouth and graduated from Weymouth High School, Class of 1961. He was a resident of Stoughton for 25 years before moving to Florida 10 years ago. Mr. Scibeck was an automobile salesman for 30 years before retiring 7 years ago. An avid Boston sports fan, he enjoyed playing golf, fishing, boating and spending time with his family. Anyone that met Johnny would remember him forever because he left a lasting impression and a smile on the face of everyone he crossed paths with.
Mr. Scibeck was the father and best friend of Joseph S. Scibeck and Jonathan C. Scibeck and his wife Lindsay all of Stoughton. He is also survived by his loving sisters, Phyllis A. Madden and Dorothea T. DeLorey and her husband Charles all of Weymouth, as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, friends, and cousins. He was the former husband of Patricia (Bannon) Junta.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Tuesday, January 12 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Monday 4-8 PM. Burial will be private. Donations in John's name may be made to the Dr. Theodore A. Atlas Foundation, 543 Cary Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10310.
