John V. "Jack" Rotondo, 65, died Sunday, August 30, 2009, at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston after a short illness. He was the husband of Jane E. (Galvin) Rotondo. Born in Woburn, he was a graduate of Woburn High School. His athletic accomplishments garnered a permanent spot in their Hall of Fame and a full scholarship to Boston College, Class of 1965. He was a resident of Stoughton for over 29 years. Mr. Rotondo was the owner of EnGarde, a flameproofing company based in Stoughton since 1985. A devout Catholic, he volunteered in local CCD Programs for several years. He was active in Stoughton sports, coaching Little League, softball and youth soccer while his children were growing up. In his free time, he enjoyed golfing and tennis.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children; Jason D. Rotondo and his wife Sarah of Braintree, Jarrod M. Rotondo of Quincy and Jill Rotondo and her husband Paul Kearney of VT. He was the brother of Guy Rotondo of FL, Elaine Kergo of Woburn, Josephine Simone of WA and the late Anthony. He is also survived by his granddaughters Sophia and Isabella and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Thursday, September 3 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM.
