John Philip Ravesi

John Philip Ravesi, 79, a longtime resident of Canton, died peacefully at home on Sunday, April 7, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Ruth A. (O’Connor) Ravesi for 54 years. Son of the late Francis and Sarah Ravesi, he was born and raised in Waltham before moving to Canton at age 18. He was a graduate of Waltham High School, Class of 1963. John worked for Masoneilan Dresser until age 55, before working at Home Quarters, Home Depot, and Ocean State Job Lot until his retirement in 2023. He was a member of the Canton Town Club and enjoyed playing cribbage and pool, watching horror movies and reading, especially horror books. John was a published author and a columnists for the town paper.

In addition to his wife, John is survived by his children, Francis Ravesi of Taunton, Jackie Ravesi of Canton, Steven Ravesi and his wife Linde of North Attleboro and Christine Ravesi-Weinstein of Plainville. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
