John F. "Jack" Lavalle, Jr., 87, died peacefully Thursday, June 1, 2017, at the Brockton Hospital in Brockton surrounded by his beloved family. He was the husband of the late Marguerite L. (McLeod) Lavalle. Born and raised in Cambridge, he was a graduate of Cambridge Rindge & Latin High School. He was a Veteran of the Korean War in US Air Force. Mr. Lavalle was a resident of Stoughton since 1969. He worked as the Quality Control Manager for Holmed in Easton for many years, retiring in 2002. In his free time, he enjoyed his scratch tickets, fishing, golfing, cooking, listening to music and audio books and spending time with his family.
Mr. Lavalle was the father of Darlene L. Hayner and her husband the late Gordon and Diane J. Crean and her husband Stephen, all of Stoughton. He was the brother of Robert Lavalle of Watertown and Sheila Walsh of Charlestown. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren, Paul Purcell, Stephanie Hayner and Nicole Hayner and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., Stoughton, on Monday at 11AM. Visiting Hours will be held Sunday from 2-5 PM. Donations in Jack's memory may be made to the National Kidney Foundation Finance Department, 30 East 33rd St., New York, NY 10016.
