John J. Kelliher, 67, died Tuesday, February 26, at the BayPointe Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Brockton after a long period of failing health. He was the beloved husband of Kristine M. (Fraser) Kelliher. Born in Bath, ME, he was a graduate of BC High and Northeastern University. He was a Veteran of the US Army, earning the rank of Captain. Mr. Kelliher was a resident of Stoughton since 1971. He worked as the Telecommunications Director for Arthur D. Little in Cambridge for over 18 years. Prior to that, he worked at Honeywell in Waltham. Mr. Kelliher was a member of the Stoughton Fish and Game and the Stoughton Jaycees. He was a longtime coach for STOYAC Pop Warner Football in Stoughton. In his free time, he enjoyed bowling and spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, John J. Kelliher Jr. of Upton and Kimberly A. Kelliher of Stoughton. He was the brother of Maureen Kirslis of Rockland, Margaret Sweeney of Braintree and Richard Kelliher of RI.
Visiting Hours will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Wednesday, February 27 from 5-8 PM and also Thursday Morning from 9-10 AM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton on Thursday Morning at 10:30 AM.
