John E. Goode

John E. Goode, 67, died Saturday, July 23, 2016 at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He was the beloved husband of 43 years of Anne M. (Herendeen) Goode. Born in Readville, he was raised in Savin Hill and was a graduate of St. Mary's High School in Brookline. Mr. Goode was also a graduate of Boston State College and served in the National Guard for several years. He was a resident of Canton for over 38 years. Mr. Goode worked as a Service Manager for Verizon and New England Telephone for many years, retiring at age 55. He was a devoted father and grandfather who adored his grandchildren. In his free time, he loved spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Meaghan Martinek and her husband Kevin and Sean E. Goode and his wife Lisa (Cimildoro) Goode all of Canton. He was the loving Grampy of John, Grace, Ryan and Rose Martinek and Ava and Addison Goode. He was the brother of Teresa Goode and MaryBeth Kennedy both of Duxbury, Christopher Goode of Hingham, James Goode and Nancy Talalas both of Savin Hill and the late Susan Albrecht. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Saturday, July 30 at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Gerard Majella Church, Canton at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Friday from 4-8 PM.
