John F. Flannery

John F. Flannery, Jr.of Sharon, formerly of Roslindale, died peacefully on March 4th at the age of 71. Loving husband of Janet (Gunn). Proud father of John M. of South Boston and Jill Werner and her husband Bill of Medfield. Cherished "Gramps" to Jack, Charlie, Megan, and Nolan. Devoted brother of Joseph and his wife Elizabeth, Katherine Moss and George Keliher, and the late Edward of Newton. Son of the late John F. and Helen (McGillicuddy). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. John was a graduate of Catholic Memorial High School and Boston University and he was a member of the National Guard. He had a successful career in sales where he was a partner at Blake & Rebhan in South Boston for more than 20 years. In his free time he enjoyed golfing, reading, and spending time with family and friends.

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Wednesday at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Sharon at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Tuesday from 4-7 PM. Burial will follow at Rock Ridge Cemetery, Sharon. In lieu of flowers, donations in John's memory may be made to Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston at www.bgcb.org or to a charity of your choice.
