John J. Feeney, 51, died Tuesday, December 1, 2015, at the Seasons Hospice House in Milton after a long illness. Born in Dorchester, he was raised and educated in Stoughton and was a graduate of Southeastern Regional Technical High School in Easton. Mr. Feeney was a longtime resident of Stoughton before moving to Abington 2 years ago. He worked as an auto body painter at Bay State Auto Body in Hyde Park for several years as well as at several other area auto body shops. He was an avid golfer and skier and played in the Hockey North America men's league for many years. John also cherished his time spent with his family, nieces and nephews vacationing in Woodstock, NH.
He is survived by his mother, Rose "Pat" (Farren) Feeney of Stoughton, his father, James T. Feeney of Canton, and his siblings; Deborah A. Silva and Mary B. Glover, both of Abington and James T. Feeney of Seekonk. He was the dedicated uncle of Michelle Bragg, Christopher Murphy, Patrick Glover, Nicholas and Alicia Feeney Courtney and Kayla Sylvia. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Monday at 11 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. James Church at 12 Noon. Visiting Hours Sunday from 2-6 PM. Burial will be at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
