John W. Dower

John W. Dower, 93, died peacefully at the Copley Nursing Home in Stoughton Friday, May 14. He was the husband of the late Rita (Flynn) Dower. Born in Norwood, he was a longtime resident of Dedham & Stoughton. Mr. Dower graduated from Dedham High School and was a member of the Dedham Knights of Columbus. In his free time he enjoyed painting and especially spending time with his family.

Mr. Dower is survived by his children : William J. Dower and his wife Carolyn of FL, Lawrence A. Dower and his wife Sandra of South Windsor, CT, Mary C. Bernard and her husband David of Stoughton and Theresa Dellelo and her husband Frank of Norwood. He is also survived by his 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Wednesday at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. James Church, Stoughton at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Tuesday 5-8 PM. Burial will take place at Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham. The Dower family would like to thank the Copley Nursing Home staff for the wonderful care they provided for John during his stay.
